Aircraft

Here you'll find details about viewing, adding, editing and deleting aircraft from your logbook.

Viewing aircraft

You can find your aircraft by navigating to 'Logbook' from the main menu and tapping on 'Aircraft' on the bottom navigation bar. Here you'll see a list of all your aircraft, grouped by company and sub-grouped by type, displayed in alphabetical order. You can also use the search feature to filter the list of displayed aircraft.

Tapping on an aircraft will show you details about that aircraft. If we can find a photo on JetPhotos, it will be shown here. Plus if you are a subscriber, you will be able to view your most recent flights on that aircraft. You can deselect the aircraft by tapping on the close icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Adding an aircraft

To add an aircraft, tap on the plus button in the upper right corner of the screen. This will take you to the 'New aircraft' screen. 'Registration' is a required field for every aircraft entry. Tapping 'Aircraft type' will allow you to choose an aircraft type that you have previously added.

Once you are happy, tap the checkmark button in the upper right corner to save the aircraft and add it to your logbook. If you change your mind, instead tap the back button in the upper left corner and no aircraft will be added.

Editing an aircraft

To edit an aircraft, select the desired aircraft and tap the edit button. You will be taken to the 'Edit aircraft' screen, where you can make any changes required. The principles are the same as adding a new aircraft.

Tapping the back button in the upper left corner will undo any changes, and tapping the checkmark button in the upper right corner will save the aircraft.

Deleting an aircraft

To delete an aircraft, select the desired aircraft and tap the delete button. You will be asked to confirm, and then the aircraft will be removed.

There may be flights in the logbook that contain the aircraft you wish to delete. Before deletion is carried out, you will be asked if you wish to delete these flights too. If you choose not to, the aircraft will be simply removed from those flights.

Deleting an aircraft will not delete the aircraft type associated with it. This must be deleted separately if required.
