Creating an account

The first step before you can start using Aviator Logbook is to create an account. This will allow your data to be synced to all your devices via our server.

Creating an account

When using the app for the first time you will need to create an account. Enter an email address and a password (must be a minimum of 8 characters and contain no empty spaces), then tap the 'Sign up' button. By signing up, you confirm that you are over 13 years of age and that you agree to our privacy policy.

You will receive a confirmation email to the address you provided. Follow the instructions within the email to confirm your account.

The email address you use to sign up is permanent and cannot be changed at a later date.

Completing your account creation

Fantastic, your account has been confirmed! You'll now be taken through a few final steps to get you started. Complete the next few screens:

  1. Enter your details which will be used both for your account, and to create your 'SELF' pilot in the logbook. These details can be edited later if required.

  2. Take a look at the subscription options on offer or continue with the free version.

  3. You're ready to get started! Continue to launch your new logbook.

The first time you launch Aviator Logbook on any device, it will perform a sync of your data and of the aerodromes in our extensive database. There are currently around 65,000 aerodromes in the database so the sync may take a little longer the first time! If the sync doesn't complete in a timely manner, the app will launch and sync will continue in the background.

Troubleshooting

I did not receive a confirmation email.

If you have waited a few minutes, refreshed your inbox and checked your junk mail folder, try these suggestions:

  • Open the app again and tap the link at the bottom of the page to resend the confirmation email.

  • If this doesn't work, you could try force closing the app on your device. Open the app again and you'll see the sign up page again. Try signing up again and if this is successful then it is likely the email address was spelled incorrectly the first time.

  • If you receive a warning that the email address is in use, or if the process fails again, please get in touch with us and we can take a look at the problem.
