Aircraft types

Here you'll find details about viewing, adding, editing and deleting aircraft types from your logbook.

Viewing aircraft types

You can find your aircraft types by navigating to 'Logbook' from the main menu and tapping on 'Types' on the bottom navigation bar. Here you'll see a list of all your aircraft types, grouped by manufacturer and displayed in alphabetical order. You can also use the search feature to filter the list of displayed aircraft types.

Tapping on an aircraft type will show you details about that aircraft type. An image from JetPhotos will be shown if possible. Finally, if you are a subscriber, a list of recently flown aircraft matching that aircraft type will also be shown. You can deselect the aircraft type by tapping the close icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

Adding an aircraft type

To add an aircraft type, tap on the plus button in the upper right corner of the screen. This will take you to the 'New aircraft type' screen. 'Model' is a required field for every aircraft type entry.

Once you are happy, tap the checkmark button in the upper right corner to save the aircraft type and add it to your logbook. If you change your mind, instead tap the back button in the upper left corner and no aircraft type will be added.

Editing an aircraft type

To edit an aircraft type, select the desired aircraft type and tap the edit button. You will be taken to the 'Edit aircraft type' screen, where you can make any changes required. The principles are the same as adding a new aircraft type.

Tapping the back button in the upper left corner will undo any changes, and tapping the checkmark button in the upper right corner will save the aircraft type.

Deleting an aircraft type

To delete an aircraft type, select the desired aircraft type and tap the delete button in the upper right corner. You will be asked to confirm, and then the aircraft type will be removed.

There may be aircraft in the logbook that contain the aircraft type you wish to delete. Before deletion is carried out, you will be asked if you wish to delete these aircraft too. If you choose not to, the aircraft type will be simply removed from those aircraft. The same applies to previous experiences and flights that may contain this aircraft type.
