Previous experience
Here you can find out how to add generic totals from previous logbooks.
How does previous experience work?
If you do not wish to import data from another electronic logbook or you are switching from a paper logbook, you can enter a summary of previous flights here which will be added to your totals. It is possible to add previous experience separated by aircraft type, or to enter data as one value. Totals of previous experience will be shown on this page, and will be added to data in the app when viewing statistics or generating a report.
If you are switching from another electronic logbook solution, you may be able to automatically import data into Aviator Logbook. Find out more here.
Adding previous experience
To add a new item of previous experience, tap the plus button in the upper right corner of the screen. You will be taken to the 'New experience' screen, which is a very similar format to the 'New flight' screen, with the exceptions that:
No flight details can be entered, only aircraft type if desired. If not aircraft type is added the experience will be added as 'other'.
Fields will not be hidden and no auto-calculation is possible.
When you are happy with the data you have entered, tap the checkmark buttom to add this previous experience to your logbook, or alternatively tap the back button to go back without saving.
If you are not a subscriber, you will only be able to store one item of generic previous experience. If you have a subscription, you will have the option to store previous experience by different aircraft type, which can be useful for generating reports and statistics.
Editing and removing previous experience
Previous experience can be edited or removed by swiping the item to the right, and then tapping on the revealed edit or delete button.
